Yesterday exactly one year ago was our Adoption Day with Emma. We were united with her on the 25th but it was official on May 26th, 2008. It is hard to believe that it has been a year already because if you would have been with us last May in China, you would be blown away with how far she has come in every possible way now. Sometimes I think that my heart is so full of love for her that it is going to explode but then she does something new and my heart grows even bigger and I am so full of joy to see the world through her eyes.
We had a party last night and our great friends Tim and Annie joined us. Their son Noah is 3 and he and Emma have so much time dancing and playing together that I had to include a picture of their version of the celebration.
When I look back on this moment years from now I hope that I have the perspective that these are really sacred moments of life!
